How ranks work

Most games on Patrol Arcade give you one to three stars for every level, case or shift you finish. Every star counts towards your rank, from Cadet all the way to Commissioner, the rank for collecting all 573 stars. Replaying a level only counts your best result, so the way to climb is to improve, not to grind. Our guide on how to earn every star lists the exact star rules for every game.

Badges

Badges reward the different ways people like to play: trying every game, finishing a whole set of puzzles, or coming back for Today's case on the home page several days in a row.

Is my progress saved?

Yes, in your own browser only. Patrol Arcade has no accounts, so your stars live in this browser's local storage on this device. Clearing your browsing data, using a private window or switching to another phone starts you fresh. We never send your progress to a server. See our privacy policy for details.
